-and to brighten up the outfit because white reflect light better than black

-else there would be too many dark pieces in this collection

-in fact black and white are the strongest contrasting color

-their presence will always be eye-catching

# Combo 2: Crimson, Khaki

-Khaki can be commonly seen in the spring summer's collections

-less often in fall winter's collections

-is picked this season because it goes well with the Crimson & Chocolate brown pieces

-red is common in Donna Karan's fall winter collection

-but the red this season is different from those used in the other seasons

-Crimson is a different red

-comparing to the reds used in the rest fall winter collection, Crimson has a higher intensity of red within

-Crimson is a flaming color

-in the other fall winter collection, burgundy red is used instead of Crimson

-burgundy red gives people a romantic feeling that Crimson does not have

-yet, Crimson contributes to a very strong sense of warmth & strength

-it also goes better with Khaki comparing to burgundy red

-because burgundy red shows a slight purple tone

-it is located further from Khaki comparing to Crimson in the color wheel

-therefore Crimson & Khaki are picked

-because they can match with & support the presence of one another

-but this season, it is used soly as the major color in a few pieces

-introduced by color & trend forecasters

-many other brands used gold in fall winter 2006

-in order to follow the trend

-Donna Karan also needed to respond to the trend that year

**but according to my observation, Donna Karan used gold in such exaggerated manner because of another reason

-reason 2

-she launched the perfume called "Gold" that winter

-therefore her designs were also influenced

-so Gold became a major color in some of the pieces

-anyway Gold goes well with Crimson, Khaki

-because Gold has a yellowish tone

-Gold also contrasts nicely against Black, Smoky grey & Dark purple

-because Gold allow these colors to look less dim & dull

-allowing these colors to look more expensive

-the advertisement focus on emphasising the Shimmering Gold color

-therefore include no other colors but Black

-because Black has a high value

-contrast from the shimmering & reflective Gold

-enhances & enforces the shine of the Gold color
